Why does the OS freeze hopelessly after updating to Windows 8.1?

I have a Lenovo g 500 laptop with Windows 8 preinstalled, everything worked fine until I upgraded to version 8.1, after that problems began to appear, which can be divided into three ...
The first and most important problem is that after N-th time the computer began to hang stupidly, that is, not just freeze, but just freeze with a stake, so it does not respond to either the keyboard or the mouse, only the shutdown button saves, and no entries not related to the freeze appear in the log. This is the first problem.
Second: due to a freeze and the resulting incorrect shutdown of the computer, for some reason, FireFox loads from some ancient session, and this happens after each freeze, which in turn occurs at different times, but usually when working with a browser , at the moment, to deal with the problem of FireFox, I turned off the built-in synchronization, since there are suspicions that FirFox pulls up the old session from there, and installed the Xmarks extension, but in general this is not the point, I don’t understand how, in principle, FireFox manages to load the old session where is it located on the computer? I know that his profile is in two folders:
C:\Users\Computer name\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles
C:\Users\ Computer name\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles
But where exactly are the saved sessions? This was the second problem...
Third: It was also noticed that the memory from the C: drive is leaking somewhere, tell me how to track what is eating up memory? I will only add that this was not noticed on Windows version 8.1, and that directly when the computer freezes, no messages about lack of memory pop up ... This was the third problem ...
Now a little about the actions taken to combat these problems, in general on the second problem, I already wrote above what I did and now I’m waiting for the computer to freeze again ...
On the third problem, I don’t know what to do.
At the expense of the first, I contacted Microsoft support, where they advised me to disable one of the video cards, but for some reason, when I disable the AMD video card, the Intel video card starts to issue in the state: “Windows has stopped this device because it reported a problem. (Code 43)”. I addressed this problem in those. Lenovo support, they assured me that it was impossible to turn off one of the video cards, in principle, since they would not work correctly and indeed, when AMD was turned on, Intel hung with a status error, it was treated only by reinstalling firewood.
In general, further Microsoft suggested to prescribe the following things on the command line:
3.1. sfc /scannow
3.2. Dism /online /cleanup-image /checkhealth
3.3. Dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
I went through some kind of check, found something there, but didn’t win the periodic freezes ...
The next tip from Microsoft: set up the so-called “clean boot”, that is, remove all applications from startup and disable all services except Microsoft services, I tried to do so really computer it didn’t freeze for more than a week of operation (it didn’t last more than two days before), but the memory continued to leak, besides, the system became somehow slow, and it was the system, since neither the processor nor the RAM were loaded at that moment ...
At this moment the moment I first returned everything back, the system managed to freeze several times, I lost some of my FireFox tabs, then I removed some of the applications from autoload, now if the OS does not freeze in 2 days, then I will turn on one application at a time and observe.
In the meantime, I would like to read the advice of wise people ...

I have HP sharpened at the bios level under 8, there were similar problems, I didn’t take a steam bath, took the fuck down and put 8.1 because there was a warning at the office. my manufacturer's website about the fact that after updating Windows can freeze, and it freezes cool even without updating, you have a platform, as I understand it, intel, AMD, initially their competitor puts a lion and a ram in one cage, it's not clear, but oh well, first put firewood it has priority on the built-in vidyuhu, otherwise you’ll get stuck looking for jambs, I checked their friendship by running dxdiag, if everything goes without errors, then everything is fine, so it’s better to demolish everything, but first from the firewood manufacturer at the office. find the site for your model, good luck

As an option, make a backup of the system and downgrade with a rollback to win8.
You can check the bottlenecks of the system using this article .
The saved session is in the sessionstore.js
file. If the memory is leaking, then monitor it .
Possibly leaked due to browser or system snapshots.

Did you do a clean install of w8.1 on a laptop?
latest bios version?
Are all the drivers up to date?
after these steps, install the minimum required software one by one without any shit-tweakers and see how it behaves.
