Why does the mouse suddenly stop working on Ubuntu?

Mouse suddenly stops working on Ubuntu 16.04. I'm working and the cursor suddenly stops moving, the laser is on. May or may not occur at any time. The mouse is connected via PS/2.
How it is possible to bypass it?

library. There are various "animation smoothing" functions, Timings and much more.
