How to create your own mail server?

There is a domain name, a router with a static external address and computers on the network with Windows and Ubuntu. I would like (and need to get an ssl certificate) mail in which after @ is the name of my site. How to do this and where it is better to load this thing, in principle, it is possible on any of the computers in the local network. What are the options? What to read? How is it better? On ubuntu - https://workaround.org/ispmail/jessie
It's true for debian jessie, but it shouldn't make much of a difference.

Under ubuntu:
A lot of memory and you need a beautiful web muzzle: Zimbra
I want to save resources, - bare postfix
Under Windows:
For example hMailServer
I don’t want to bother at home - traffic rules from Yandex with Yandex web muzzle.

Of course on bubuntu. SMTP server for receiving from the world and sending mail to the world + IMAP server for local delivery (+ webmord but this is optional). I deliberately do not name the programs, because there is a choice. Small, but there is - for example, for me it is sendmail + dovecot (+ webmorda on horde). It would be better to take care of the PTR record right away - there are incredulous servers that have an automatic name, which will give the provider consider suspicious.
