Why does the microphone not work when turned on on ubuntu?

I've been using Ubuntu for a month. I connect a camera with a microphone (PS Eye), everything works great. After the reboot, the microphone is still detected, but there is no sound coming from it. If you reconnect the camera, the microphone works.
Ubuntu 18.04 system.
