Why does the Megasync client eat up all the RAM on ubuntu 20.04?

I have:
ubuntu 20.04, 12G ram, i5.
Installed megasync from the official site, at startup it devours all the RAM. Can I somehow fix this? Or somehow prohibit the use of all RAM for this process?

Install from the repository, if available, or try an alternative client.
You can find a previous version or contact the developer with a bug report, but, unfortunately, Linux software developers hammer a huge bolt on normal ports for it.
