Why does the MegaIndex service and ahrefs show different data, who to believe?

Hello. The task was to find out the dynamics of the backlinks of the site.
The entire Internet refers to two top services with which you can solve this.
Well, this is MegaIndex and Ahrefs.
I bought paid rates, I look at information about the site.ru site on MegaIndex, it shows the dynamics from 2019 around August and only 5-10 backlinks.
I look site.ru on the Ahrefs service, it does not show the dynamics by dates, (or am I looking wrong?) But it says 59k backlinks.
How so? Who to believe? If both can be wrong, what is the approximate % error?
I would be grateful if you could tell me the best way to solve this problem.

Ahrefs has a larger base, especially when it comes to bourgeois. Nevertheless, the error for both services can be large. I would go for the average.
And keep in mind that some site owners, when promoting site grids, hide their link mass from such services.
