Why does the hard drive sometimes turn off?
I will not speculate, I will describe what I noticed.
Periodically, the system slows down for a few seconds, freezes.
At this time, a sound is heard from the system unit, similar to the spinup of a hard disk (small whistle) b lasts 1-1.5 seconds. After that everything hangs.
What is it and why?)

If you have Windows, then in the power options there is an item (in the advanced settings) where it is indicated after what time to turn off the hard drive.
the drive stops the engine and parks the heads when idle for a long time to reduce noise and power consumption. this behavior can be disabled in the same crystaldiskinfo (as far as I remember)
