Why does the dummy reset the transform?
Hello. Sorry for such a stupid and obvious question, but it's burned out. There is a 2D blank of the character. I'm trying to make a classic animation in the Unity engine by moving each part of the body. (Separate arms, legs, body, head). Of course, each object needs to be made a child to another, the question is different. When trying to rotate an object, you need to change the point around which the object rotates. Specifically, so that this is not the middle, as by default, but another specified place. Do not rush to write that you can create an Empty object with the default Transform parameter, specify the desired coordinates, then hang a GO on it and voila, everything is ready. Yes, in fact it should be so, but it doesn’t work and it’s not clear why. When you try to hang the GO on a dummy, the dummy changes the cords to the GO cords, in other words, resets, why is that, please explain?
If you need to show or change any parameters of the engine, write, report it, I will show everything. Do not write what is possible through Transform.Rotate and other fuss with the code, I'm not going to hang the code on each part of the body and the question here is not this, but why does something that in fact should work not work?
