Why does the browser freeze when trying to fill in an input (input type=text) in Safari on MacOS and iOS?

Hello. The problem is this: there is a site, everything works adequately on all axes and browsers, but on safari it is on mac os / ios when you try to fill in a regular input - safari freezes tightly, you have to kill it. Is there anyone here who knows these OSes, who can tell how to approach this problem in general? Most of the site's clients are on iPads, so this is very serious. Disabled all javascript, nothing changes.

You have an overkill page (I counted about 700) <select> s, Safari handles this slowly, despite the fact that they are display:none. This is a known ( poke , poke ) bug.
What to do: do not give everything as html, but show controls with a script. And it’s better to reconsider the logic and make an ajax request so as not to throw out all the pickup points all over the country at once.
