Why does the actual download speed not correspond to the declared one in Speedtest?

Good day to all. The situation is this: I came home, the Internet is connected at home 100 mb / s, there is a "wafer" Dlink 300 from the provider. A computer is connected to the network using a Chinese noname adapter and a mobile phone on Android. I set the router settings to the maximum possible (channel by n, frequency, etc.). Speedtest gives 50 Mb/s for download and close to 50 for upload. The test was carried out with the network idle on the phone and on the computer. But when downloading files - whether it's a torrent or a download from a browser, or downloading a movie - the speed does not exceed 4.5 mb / s. Although the network speed monitor is enabled on the phone, and when downloading, it shows that the speed is 45-50 mb / s. I ran network speed tests with different programs several times, with and without interruptions. Can anyone tell me what the magic is? I myself live abroad, there is also Internet 100mb / sec,

1. UP TO 100 megabits!
2. The provider does not guarantee full speed to any host outside its network, it only guarantees that it will provide you with a channel of UP TO 100 megabits, and how external hosts and transit providers limit the speed, it doesn’t matter to him.
3. 50 mb/s and you wanted to get 150 megabits on a SOHO router? Dream.
4. 4.5 Mb/s Megabyte or Megabit? if Megabyte, then it corresponds to ~40 megabits, which is normal for a SOHO router loaded with a bunch of UDP packets.

the best test is true - torrent
pron, of course, when a bunch of peer seeds and a more or less uniform picture of
what will show - then in fact it is,
for example, it shows 8-10 megabytes for 100Mbps, 16-18 for 500Mbps, marketing)))
