Why does Skype eat memory?

Who is to blame for the fact that Skype eats 2.5G of memory? Shitcoders from Microsoft or Electron?

Other applications on Electron eat a maximum gig...

You underestimate the ability of an electron to eat memory :). If you're not using it, just close it. :) Or you can try the web version: web.skype.com
