Why does pseudo-elements not work correctly with flex items?

The flex element has pseudo-elements for which position: absolute, and when using left/right/top/bottom, the countdown starts not from the edge of the flex element, but from the edge of the flex container. Actually the question is how to make a report from the edge of the flex element?
