CPU load up to 100%.
Ryzen R5-2500U, 8GB RAM.

There could be hundreds of reasons. Help has an item Collect Logs and Diagnostic data. You can poke there and then look where and from what he feels bad.
From general advice, you can add memory to it (in the same help - change memory settings) and install a fresher version. In 2020.2, performance has been tweaked quite well.
