Why does my laptop sometimes turn off when I close the lid?

On an HP-Pavilion 14 laptop, Ubuntu 18.04 is installed. Sometimes, it happens that when I close the lid and then open it after some time, it happened that after 1-2 hours, it happened that after 10-15 minutes, it turns off. When I press the buttons, as I usually do, to wake it from sleep, it does not turn on. I have to turn it on again through the power button and Ubuntu starts up again, like from the very beginning, with a logo, etc. But at the same time, all programs are closed, except for tabs, when I go to the browser.
I can’t understand why it turns off so randomly when it wants to, but it doesn’t happen very often?

Oh, this is a classic glitch, it has been diligently transferred from version to version since 9.04, when I first encountered it.
Alas, nothing can be done about it, sometimes after waking up either a black screen or a reboot, while there is nothing in the logs.
Try fiddling with your video card driver if you still want to do something. Or change the kernel version. Better yet, update Ubuntu to the latest version.
