Why does MS Word change the font when entering Cyrillic?

The font contains Cyrillic, but when I enter text, Word immediately switches to another font. And if I select the text and change it to this font, then the font changes to the desired one, that is, when you type, the font changes, and when you change the font, everything is fine.

The same problem was. Replacing styles, base fonts, Normal.dotm in Word 2010 did not help either.
The reason Word switches to the base font is the same as when you try to enter Cyrillic in a purely English font - glyphs can be enumerated, but not interpreted. For some reason, only Word is harmful. Excel, Photoshop, MindManager and other programs easily understand such fonts.
When it comes to editing your own or other fonts, then this is decided through FontCreator.
Update the Ranges and Code-pages on the Ranges tab in font properties.
Manually you need to put down the ranges of codes and symbols in the settings Fonts/Properties/Ranges/Code page - Edit - Cirillyc. That is, it is the input of characters that is allowed, and not just the display. Experiment with internal values.
