Why does macOS Sierra take up 62 GB?

Comrades, HELP!
The Macbook Air has only 120 GB of SSD, 62 of which are occupied by MacOS , another 25 are occupied by the Win7 virtual machine, which is mandatory for work, and as a result, I have 30 gigs for everything.
Why does the operating system take up so much space? I looked through the forums, they write that Yosemite takes from 8 to 20 gigs. What's wrong with me?
