Why does .htaccess work strangely on a virtual server?
Good afternoon, I moved the site to digitalocean.com and saw that .htaccess does not instruct the server the way it does on the local machine and did it on another site. The main feature is that the so-called. The CNC works even with an empty .htaccess, i.e. the pages open as example.com/about/ when the script is actually located at example.com/about.php. From here and for all RewriteRule, you have to add .php to work properly. Installed LAMP on Ubuntu. Maybe it's some default configs or what's the catch?
