Why does .htaccess work strangely on a virtual server?

Good afternoon, I moved the site to digitalocean.com and saw that .htaccess does not instruct the server the way it does on the local machine and did it on another site. The MultiViews directive, hitherto unfamiliar to me, has been included in sites-enabled. The problem was solved by turning it off.
