Why does Google maps appear white on the site?

On some sites, Google Maps is displayed in white. Like here, for example: https://www.tanuki.ru/restaurants/ .

Two questions:

1. Is this a bug or a feature?

And where did you get the idea that this is Google Maps?
Tiles are taken from Yandex maps

And they are colored. The color is removed by overlaying desaturation using css
