Why does celery create many processes?

Good afternoon. There is a project on django, I use locum hosting, installed it under my supervisor profile and specified the path to launch celery from under env. The supervisor settings say "numporcs=1".
On the site, in the task there are mail tasks (sending letters - registration, activations, orders, etc.). The problem is that their tech. hosting support writes to me that celery creates many processes:

ps -mu 1824
