Why does base64 produce different values on different devices?

Once I needed to encode text in base64 on Windows and I used echo text | base64(as far as I remember, base64 is not set by default in Windows, but I use cygwin to access Linux commands in Windows) - encoded, used where necessary, but later I was not able to use my laptop and had to encode the same text on the phone, and I also, but already entered it in termux echo text | base64- and surprisingly the output was not the same as on Windows.

Why is that?

ps if you use exactly echo text | base64that, the output will be on Windows dGV4dCANCg==, but on the phone dGV4dAo=, but on the site https://www.base64encode.org dGV4dA== .
pps I'm not sure if the question refers to these tags, so if I'm wrong, then say so
