Why does an android app bring less profit than an ios app?
Hello.
An interesting question has come up here.
There are 2 identical applications, in Google Play and in the Appstore, android users are 1.5 times less than ios users, the application structure is identical, the advertising platform is identical (Appodeal), the advertising cycle is also identical. According to statistics, Yandex Application Metrics and Google Analytics use the android version stably, sessions are 50% less than in ios.
With all this, the earnings of an android application are 10 times lower than ios applications.
Does anyone know the reason for this? Maybe I'm doing something wrong?
Thanks in advance

1. Look at the cost of android devices and apple devices. Think about how much money those and other users have.
2. Look at the number of applications in the Google Market and the Appstore, namely competitive offers, free competitive applications, think about it.
since you claim that the number of impressions + is the same (no more than 50% difference), then the only conclusion is that the payout for one impression on android is less than on ios. It sounds quite logical since the Apple audience is easier to monetize and more solvent.
I suppose that on Google Play there is a larger assortment of free analogues.
Also, there are various firmware with banner cutting, rooting, etc.
And with Apple, it's more of a black box, and the quality control of apps in the appstore is higher, which allows you to achieve good returns on investment on this platform.
(IMHO)
Can't you see the statistics of impressions, clicks and their cost?
There is an opinion that just the owners of Apple technology are much richer than the owners of Android phones, and accordingly they have more opportunities to make various expenses in applications ..)
