Why does adblock work better in chrome than in safari?

I noticed that adblock in chrome works much better than in safari for example. Is this my subjective opinion, or is it really true? In general, I don’t understand how adblock can work depending on the browser?

Of course it can. For Firefox, AdBlock is the most functional.

Strange, I use Safari with AdBlock - I don't see ads at all.
Compare the settings, maybe there is some mismatch.

Chromium provides more features to add-ons for working with the content of loaded pages (plus open source Chromium adds the ability to explore undocumented features of chrome in this place). Safari is a rather closed browser with t.z. external developers, and the API for add-ons appeared there relatively recently.
