Why does a web application slow down in a terminal session?

The company has implemented a web application. All employees work on thin clients. When we used the version of the desktop application, the GUI slowed down tolerably, but now the version of the web application slows down so much that it drives me into a terrible depression, and if you go to the "pictures" section in Google, you can immediately go for 2-3 hours to drink tea, the screen will take a very long time to draw. As far as I know, everything is running on wmvare, and the terminal server is Windows Server 2008.
I understand that web browsers need a physical GPU for comfortable work, that it is necessary to forward the resources of the video card to all terminal sessions, this is only supported by nvidia grid k1 and k2. Do I understand correctly that this is the problem? Or, as I am convinced, the problem is the width of the channel, although I know that if the graphics are drawn in lines, then the graphics are processed by the CPU. If I'm right about the GPU, how do I convince the automation department that the problem is the lack of a GPU on the server? Thanks to!

Well the thin client draws a picture? It spends resources. Therefore, try a regular computer.
