Dear colleagues, share your experience, who uses what to create backups of working machines?
Is there any solution from vmware or are self-written scripts used?
We came across the article communities.vmware.com/docs/DOC-8760 but for some reason our hypervisor hangs at 100% CPU

Just in case, I'll add that all licenses except free and Ess include a built-in backup tool. Simple, of course, but vpone working.

Symantec Backup Exec and Acronis Backup & Recovery have modules for VMware vSphere
as well as Acronis vProtect
