Why does a macbook reset the relative position of the displays after a reboot?

After rebooting, Macbook pro 15 middle 2014 resets the relative position of the displays, and you have to set everything up again.
The second monitor is connected with a dvi -> hdmi cable.
Perhaps you can write a script that edits the config?

If possible, try not to use HDMI.
I have been using 2 monitors for many years, several axes, several beeches. Never had this problem, external monitors are always connected via DVI.

The issue was resolved as follows:
PHP worked as an Apache module, changed to PHP as FastCGI

Permission denied

Obviously the php process does not have permission to write the file to where it is trying to write it.
See which user owns this folder (or this file, if it already exists), see what permissions this folder/file has.
