Why does a Hyper-V virtual machine freeze for 2 seconds?
Hello. There is an HP DL180 G6 server with 300GB SAS disks at 10,000 revolutions. MS Hyper-V 2008 R2 is installed on the server, as well as a terminal server for file 1C on MS Server 2008 R2. Version 1C -7.7.
The number of working users in the terminal is 3. Everything is ok, but sometimes users watch the 1C program (the entire terminal) freeze for 2-3 seconds, and then continue to work normally. Everything works in the domain. Prior to this, the virtual machine worked on a similar server, but with SATA disks. There were no problems. The logs are empty. Updates are the latest.
Any ideas?

Set up storage of the monitoring log in the host and guest systems, and see what happens at such moments. Maybe the disks fall asleep, and it takes time for them to wake up - then the latency will increase. May be something else.
About all the updates - I got excited. On closer inspection - I have pure Hyper-V 2008 R2 (Core) without SP1 and SP2. I'm downloading updates now. A passing question - as I understand it, this update needs to be pumped up as a new install? Will my virtual machines be preserved?
