Why does a copy of the cursor appear at login where the cursor was on the password entry screen?
Good day!
It costs Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS, a copy of the cursor began to appear at the entrance to the system. For example, if the mouse was on the password entry field, then the text cursor remains in the middle of the screen, on top of any applications. Similarly, if the cursor is left in any other place. That is where it stays.
Of the changes, perhaps, instead of a 1080/75Hz monitor, I installed 1440/144Hz. But the problem did not appear immediately, but the next day.
Has anyone experienced this?
I found a slightly similar topic, they advised free && sync && echo 3 >sudo /proc/sys/vm/drop_caches && free, but it doesn't help.
Thanks in advance!

When I logged in, I chose Ubuntu on wayland - the problem disappeared.
Not exactly a solution, but at least something...
I also encountered a copy of the cursor when logging in. I solved the problem by setting the standard scaling (Settings -> Displays -> Scale = 100%).
