Why does 1C, when the checkbox is set to Thick Client, connect to a thin one?

When connecting to IB on a remote server, with the Thick Client checkbox checked, it connects as a thin client.
Once out of 10, the truth is glorified and connected as needed. Question why??e9f30bb7db53453180b4bb672387eb18.png6aa8b0710bb14ef4a739d8c51a9d349f.jpg

There are two executable files in the platform BIN directory: 1cv8c.exe - thin client and 1cv8s.exe - thick client. Depending on which one you run, you will get that mode.
The settings in the list of bases are intended for the starter (1cestart.exe from the COMMON directory), so that he knows which of the executable files to transfer control to. But the list of bases for connection is also available for display to thin and thick clients.
Total. If, when setting up a launch with a thick client, a thin client is launched and, moreover, only the launch button in enterprise mode (without the configurator) is available in the list of databases, then you are explicitly launching the thin client executable file. There is also an option that when installing the platform, you simply did not install a thick client - then the starter will launch a thin client regardless of the setting.
