I have to read pdf magazines for work. Magazines are interesting, so on the bus on the way to work and home I read on the tablet. That's why I needed him.

I have a Chinese Zenithink tablet for 6 tr. I use it for reading books (mostly complex PDFs, which readers do poorly, and those that are good are expensive), surfing the Internet and watching movies. I think that I work out my money 100%. In addition, it allows you to sort out the insides of Android, which is interesting in itself.

At the exhibition, it is convenient to show presentations on it;) there is no point in dragging a laptop, and a tablet is the very thing!

I once (2008) took programming labs on a tablet (Samsung Q1) when the computers in the laboratory were busy.
Now everything is trite:
surfing
toys
video
books

I have owned a tablet netbook for about two years. I only have fun at home.
- It's convenient to surf before going to bed
- Watch a movie - I'm
glad that it is not used as the main one - therefore it is used to test Windows assemblies.
When traveling to a remote area, it's nice that you can run a good old_toy and pass the time.

The iPad has taken the place of a laptop.
Books, habr and other internets, a typewriter, about 0.75 convenience from a large computer.

iPad colleagues: children (uploaded cartoons, YouTube, game apps), wife (browser), I don’t get it

The options for using the tablet are also interesting ... Now I’m just thinking what to take for “reading”.
For myself, I have not yet discovered anything special except:
- surfing
- reading
- casual games

I will add that I use vnc/rdp/ssh, both through the openvpn tunnel and directly. In general, as an administrator tool. Well, games with surfing and reading books are a matter of course. Surfing at a much higher level than with a phone.
PS: can anyone tell me how to make calls via the cellular network from the iPad 3G (firmware 3.2)?

Read books, keep all sorts of TODOs (hello, Things) and administer servers while on the bus, for example. Individuals write code on the iPad, I have not tried it.
When serifs are invented on the on-screen keyboard of the tablet, it will become very convenient.
