There are a lot of programming languages and programming professions in our modern world. Can you answer which of the professions needs C ++? And is it needed at all or is it worth paying attention to something more substantial?

Oddly enough... C++ is needed for the "Programmer" profession, in particular for the position of "C++ Programmer", perhaps a junior or a senior. As for attention: if you plan to work in a field where one or another language is needed, you need to be able to use exactly the language that you need, which is pleasant and interesting for you. There are no prophets here who read your thoughts) You yourself must choose technologies for your stack of tasks.

I won't speak for others, but knowledge of the C++ language (at least in the scope of the C language) is absolutely necessary for teachers of the C++ language.

C++ is mainly used for writing code closer to the processor (from high-level languages). This can be useful in writing device drivers. In other respects, most programs, such as the Adobe package, Office, etc., are written in C ++. Pay attention to something more significant ©.

For work, this language may not be useful to you. But somehow I can hardly imagine a person working as a programmer and not owning C ++.
According to my own feelings, I can say that C ++ helps to better understand other languages based on C, since it is useful to know the origins (and there are many such languages and they are very likely to be useful to you in your work: C #, Java, PHP, JS other). Well, the threshold of entry into these languages with knowledge of C / C ++ in a natural way.
Of course, if you want to "become a programmer in a week", then it might not be worth learning the pros. You can start, for example, right away with C #, where everything is simple, rosy and beautiful. But it seems to me that extra difficulties in learning are a rather useful factor.
