Why do the same fonts appear differently in the browser?

Why are the same fonts displayed differently? The styles are the same, the fonts connected are also the same, but one in one case is displayed like this:

And in the other case like this:

Strange, but everything was solved by restoring the default settings in chrome.

Can you clarify which browsers, OS, how exactly the fonts are connected?

@OnYourLips

Fonts should display differently on different browsers and operating systems.
For example, on OS X people are used to thick fonts, while on Windows people are used to fonts with sub-pixel anti-aliasing.

Is there a way to watch it live? Well, are there links?

perhaps enabling antialiasing will help
-webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased;
But just do every browser renders them in its own way

In the second picture, font smoothing is disabled, earlier this could often be seen on Windows XP, enable font smoothing in your OS
