Because it’s cheaper this way, a start-up startup has to test its idea with minimal expenses, and copying is obviously cheaper than making it from scratch. Startups that have tested their idea usually no longer make their interfaces carbon copy.
It seems to me that the main reason is that at the startup stage, as a rule, there are no funds for a good design study, therefore, either some kind of designer hack is bought on the topic of what is now "fashionable" or developers without design experience simply try to copy what they think is beautiful .
We kind of tried to avoid this on our project and concentrate on the information provided. So that's not all ;-) Give a typical example, where is a carbon copy?
Because there is no creativity and understanding of UX / UI (or the desire to do it well).
Price/Quality*Resources. Today there are a huge number of ready-made beautiful templates. No one has any desire or resources to bother. So they stamp it - cheaply and cheerfully.
Here, for example, I now need a business card site with a micro-blog. I am looking for a programmer who will polish the WordPress template and sharpen it to the needs of the business (and SEO), so that the ROI would be maximum, the term is minimal. There are no resources (and desires) for long custom development. Will it be similar to others - for sure it will be, but the content will be its own. Something like that...
And I think there are certain trends in design. For example, landing pages are now very developed. Material style design (Google seems to have announced). Everyone wants to keep up with the times.
