Why do problems with styles occur when transferring a site to a hosting?

For many times there are problems with styles when transferring to hosting. For some reason they are simply not installed, although the file is still the same. Transferring only the style file did not help, transferred the entire site over a new one, still the same problem when there is no such problem on the local machine. Most often, the problem is related to incorrect paths to stylesheet files. If the paths were absolute, for example "/home/www/site/style.css", then you can replace them with relative ones.
The browser console will help determine the exact cause (in most browsers, it is opened by pressing the F12 key). After opening the console, you will need to refresh the page and see where the CSS elements are loaded from.
