Why do customers ignore when they are not satisfied with the price?

Freelancing ran into an ode to an interesting problem. I communicate with the customer, discuss the project and everything seems to be agreed, he asks about the price and terms, I answer and then ignore. This does not happen very often, since I try to set an adequate price, but I have never heard from customers that the price is high, either they accept the conditions that I write, or they simply ignore after the price is indicated. You can also write that it is expensive and offer your price and, during the discussion, come to a compromise.

It is psychologically difficult for a person to say NO. The rest of the word does not bring such 90% pleasure)) You first need to prepare a person for the price of your services, describe all the advantages of working with you, show your experience and professionalism, if there is none, then you need to dump until you get a portfolio.

The price will be known, perhaps competitors or hucksters. Over time, learn to calculate them.

You need to immediately offer a range of prices:
This means that you are a grabber and the price was inflated from the very beginning, in the hope of a simple one. Which customer likes to be fooled?
The price concession should not be unconditional. As an option - a fork with different amounts of work.

Try not to write the price, but call up and discuss by voice!

Usually I take several estimates, compare the levels and the price and choose, I stop answering the rest because I don’t have free time

You can try to get in touch yourself, they say last week they discussed the project, what did you decide? And already from the answer to try to orient. Of course, more often a person will lie and not tell the truth, but this will end the story on a neutral note.

It depends on the context, if it's just an order chat, then you can ignore it, if you are already on Skype, then I put marks on such ignores, then I treat them accordingly.

Option 1 is competitors
Option 2 is such people) Quite often you deal with such people, especially when you are engaged in online sales or freelancing. People do not like to refuse, because they feel awkward in front of you. Others simply save their time and find it easier to merge.
So always be prepared for such a turn, it is advisable to bring a person right at the beginning of the dialogue to the possible cost of your services. But even that doesn't always work.

Sometimes these are competitors, but mostly this is the behavior of customers. Often they are negotiating with several contractors in parallel, such an unpleasant feature of freelancing.
