Why do cool dudes use Bootstap?

Why do people who can, I think, afford a normal, responsive layout that doesn't break the "separate content from what it looks like" rule use it?
For example: Spotify, Microsoft, PayPal, Upwork(oDesk+Elance).
And how do you love and hate this Bootstrap? What alternatives do you use? Is it possible for a coder to survive without Bootstrap?

Why do cool dudes use washing machines when they can afford to wash things by hand?

I would add that it is easier to support, connect new people and manage many projects within the company according to a single standard.

This is a chic framework, with proper use, you don’t even have to bother with adaptability, because. it will already be out of the box. But here it depends on the layout - 90% of the layouts for the bootstrap are not sharpened, and you have to hang a ton of your own styles on it, which cast doubt on the very expediency of using it. There are many alternatives, even too many.

The main determining factor is simplicity, speed and convenience.
Versatility allows you to support the project to several people.
It seems to me that the author confuses the use of the bootstrap framework and only grids from it.
