Why do confirmations grow for every transaction in Bitcoin?
Forgive me for the stupid question, but I want to understand why the confirmations of each transaction grow?
For example, I made a transaction three years ago, and the number of confirmations grew to 300,000 and continues to grow.
Are these confirmations rewarded to miners or is it a counter that counts only in ancestor blocks?
