Why do Americans rarely use .us\.ca domains?
I noticed that they are mostly hosted on international zones like .com\.net etc. But why don't they often use their native zones like .US, how we use handles, for example. Or the fact that they do not want to be tied to their domain plays a role, because. speak English, and English is spoken by half the planet? In general, in order not to set limits for yourself, just like some Russian project registers .com for itself when it wants to have an English-language site. Perhaps this is so. But I'm still talking about small sites, incl. all sorts of author's blogs, projects, etc.

The thing is that the Internet did not initially appear with us, but with them, and initially domains were divided by direction (com-mercial, net-work, org-anization), and not by country. Actually, that's how it happened. Well, you need to understand the mentality - Americans know that they live in the best and most important country in the world, everything that happens outside the United States is a village.
And other domains appeared because everyone wants to eat everywhere.
historically, com net org mil domains are still American. Here they are considering them, as we ru.
