Hello. Please tell me why when using the hover pseudo-class and the animate method, neighboring elements move. Let me explain in more detail: In the vertical block there are pictures under each other, when you hover over the picture, the picture increases, but at the same time it shifts all the pictures that are located below. And I would like the active picture to increase and overlap the neighbors. Help plz.

Do you happen to change the size of the block or the picture? If so, then you need to apply transform: scale() .
