Why different font size in Firefox and Chrome?

Given:

  • Mozilla Firefox 37.0.2
  • Google Chrome 42.0.2311.135 (64-bit)
  • Ubuntu 14.04

There is text, font-size is 24px, for example, but for some reason in Google Chrome this text looks smaller than in Firefox. To drop styles, normalize.css 3.0.2 is included

Because chrome and ff render fonts differently. You will not achieve the same display in any way.

M.b. somewhere accidentally increased the scale in the browser, try to look for the scale in the menu or press Ctrl + 0 (control + zero).
Also, make sure the fonts are the same. I mean both browsers use the same font.
You can see it in Firebuge and in Chrome Dev Tools

If the font is connected with files via font-face, it is possible that the font files are broken
