Why didn't the system create a volume group when centos was installed?

Hello. Could it be that when installing centos 6.6, the system did not create a standard volume group? I work with lvm , the task is to add a new partition. I want to find a strange group that the system created during installation, but does not display anything. I used the vgscan and vgdisplay commands, everywhere it says that the group has not been created.

If during installation you chose not to build an LVM, no one will create it.
