Why did the rollback happen?
So the number 21 I made a backup of the database, let's call it test1. Now today I decided to restore it. I asked a question about how to restore. I mean they answered. I went to restore the backup. I enter: $ mysqldump -u root -p db_name > /tmp/db_name.sql
Then asks to enter the password. I enter the password accordingly. But then something strange began. After entering the password, my console seemed to freeze. As soon as I pressed ENTER when entering mysql password, my input line shifted down, but did not go to the main menu, so to speak. Here is a screenshot:

Then I decided to try to make a backup. Again I enter the command, again asks for the mysql password. I import and as a result also. What's on the screen. That is, after entering the password, it is ignored and freezes, BUT, but at the same time, a .sql file with zero weight (0 bytes) is created in the directory, and with the name that I set for the backup.
So I decided to do a reboot. After the reboot, I wait a couple of minutes and see that the VPS is not loading. I am writing in those. support, they say so and so. My VPS is down. They said it had been stopped and started it up again. Well, then I go into the database and what I see. I had a base rollback, just on the 21st. Then I look into another database, which I never backed up at all. And she also rolled back, only worse. Why can this be? And if I restore a backup of the test1 database, can I restore it to another database? test33?

Well, in theory it could, of course. what you can't do with an ostrich.
But according to the description, I would assume that the VPS did crash, and it was not very successfully restored.
