Why did the matrix of the laptop break?

Good evening, dear habravchane!

Today, a painfully unpleasant story happened: I damaged the matrix on my acer aspire 5740 laptop. I

immediately remembered that somewhere a laptop with a burnt HP COMPAQ PRESARIO CQ61-318ER chipset was lying around.

Tell me, please, is it possible to take a matrix from hp and put it in your acer, that is, are they interchangeable, because I don’t want to waste time on a rearrangement if all efforts in the end turn out to be in vain.

Most likely you can. Now, on most laptops, matrix connectors are standard. The most famous exception is MacBooks :)

It is forbidden.
The Acer 5740 has a 40-pin LED-lit connector.
The Presario CQ61-318ER has an older screen with a 30-pin connector and CCFL backlight.

Even if it’s not possible, you can rewrite the matrix markings and google where the same one is sold. They cost a couple of thousand rubles, which sometimes justifies repairs.
