Why did my HDMI monitor stop working on Ubuntu 18.04 LTS?

The monitor stopped connecting to a laptop with Ubuntu 18.04 LTS.
Yesterday worked without problems. Today I connect an HDMI cable, the monitor shows signs that it is connected, but the system itself does not respond, the monitor is not detected, the picture is not displayed.
The driver I use is Nouveau. Not proprietary.
