Why did developers stop releasing educational programs and games?

About ten years ago, developers offered all sorts of tutorials and games. For example, there was a series of games like Mathematicus and others. There was a Russian language tutor from MediaHouse, tutors from 1C. Educational games for learning English. After all, the development has, in fact, moved far ahead, but why is the niche of education and science, in my opinion, completely unoccupied?

For android, there are exceptionally many of them. Online, on YouTube, etc.
I wanted to do a project in this direction, but stopped in time when I discovered a huge replacement competition.
Something good can be done. But only as part of a non-commercial project. Or come up with something completely new. Making sure there are no competitive products.
And they are, and a lot. Sorry for the skepticism.
