Why did apache, mc get deleted after installing zabbix on FreeBSD?

FreeBSD 10.1 RELEASE After installing zabbix, apache was removed (only the configs that I changed myself remained), mc, maybe something else, it immediately caught my eye.
I installed everything from ports. I'm trying to rebuild mc from the port - writes problems with dependencies (libiconv>=1.14_4). I did not give commands to remove programs.

Probably one of the packages was rebuilt (a newer version installed in the system). Accordingly, applications dependent on this package were also crashed. Read the command output carefully.
In your case, update the ports and reinstall your packages.

Can you describe the installation process in more detail?
Ports before installation updated?
How often do you update installed packages? How?

Well, that's anti-science fiction :-) pkg can remove ports when it doesn't like versions of some installed packages, and removing old packages can automatically remove dependencies as well. But pkg explicitly lists the packages it plans to remove.
When installed, nothing is removed from the ports itself. If, when installing from ports, it is not possible to satisfy some dependencies, then the port assembly will simply abort with an error, and that's it.
