Why can't WordPress connect to MySQL using a non-root account?
Installed WordPress on a local server to learn how to work with this CMS. The CMS installation instructions say that you need to create a database and a database user. I installed phpMyAdmin and did what was written: created a test database and a user that has all privileges at that database level. But when installing WordPress, for some unknown reason, it cannot connect to MySQL using accounts other than root.
