Why can't my laptop go online due to PING: general failure?
We bought new laptops, the kit comes with a USB - RJ-45 adapter. Sat down with one to test the work. I immediately noticed that there was no network signal on the cable, I pinged the router - all 4 lines were written PING: General failure. Tried to trace - also the result is zero. But through Wi-Fi everything works, and after a few minutes the cable worked. But there are many laptops and not all of them configure the network themselves. I googled the reason, but I did not find anything worthwhile for the new equipment. What could be the problem and how to fix it?

The device needs a driver to work. When connected - there was no Internet and Windows could not download it itself, as connected via WiFi - the driver was downloaded and installed.
Put the driver on the stray, in general.
