NVIDIA GeForce GT 440 is installed in the computer https://geforce-gtx.com/440.html
Its maximum resolution is
2560x1600
Maximum 1920x1080
HDMI connection supplied to the monitor.
All drivers have been updated.
Why can't you set it to 2560x1600?

Are you connecting via HDMI? You may have an old/cheap cable.
Well, since a friend had a similar problem, but with an amdsh card, when the driver failed, it was cured by reinstalling it.

According to the characteristics there HDMI 1.3a. 2560 × 1440 at 60 Hz is the limit for this version of the standard. If that doesn't work, then change the cable.
Do you by chance raise the frequency above 60Hz?

It simply does not support such a resolution (most likely).
PS I looked at the specification of the card - it supports the resolution https://www.nvidia.com/ru-ru/nvem4/product-geforce... but just the same, the monik has a maximum of 1440 in height https://www.mvideo.ru /products/monitor-benq-pd2700...
