Nvidia X Server Setting - Server Display Configuration does not display a monitor . Most likely, this is why the video card is heating up and there is tearing. This problem is observed in other distributions. Video card: nvida 650m. Laptop: asus n76vz. hybrid graphics.

You can try to search for information about this card and monitor from experienced Linux users and manually specify the necessary parameters in the Xorg.conf config. If the utility from nvidia does not see it, this does not mean that the monitor cannot be specified normally in the config.
