Why can't I save a separate image from adobe assets, on top of which there is a cover?

in the layout loaded in the asset, styles are specified when hovering over the image, there is a carpet on top of the main image. the layout is normal, the layers are separated, but when downloading the desired layer separately, it is the picture - the image is downloaded immediately with a carpet, in one layer ... what could be the problem? I do everything as usual: I select the required layer separately (it is shown in layers, separately, without a carpet), I save it to resources, but in resources it is already shown as merged with the carpet ... I download from resources, of course everything is under the carpet .... magic ?
